Sandy went to be with her Lord and Savior on Tuesday February 5, 2019.

She was born on April 17, 1950 in St. Louis, MO. Sandy was the daughter of Paul G. and Ruth M.(Sauerwein) Low. On February 14, 1970 she married Ronald A. “Bro. Ron” Klaus who preceded her in death on November 4, 2014.

Sandy was an author and writer for several  books and letters for Avant Ministries in Kansas City, MO for many years before retiring in 2013. She was also a devoted Pastor’s wife helping her husband at the many churches he served through the years. She was a former member of the First Baptist Church of Oblong, IL and most recently a member of Highland Avenue Baptist Church of Robinson, IL. She taught Bible Study classes and loved working with young people. Sandy enjoyed making quilts, cooking and gardening. She especially enjoyed her cats and the time she spent with them.

She is survived by her sister Beverly Boucher of Osceola, MO: two nephews Christopher and Tricia Boucher and Jesse and Rachel Boucher all of St. Louis County, MO; a sister-in-law and brother-in-law Karen and Russell Bennett of Seattle, WA; two nephews Robb and Crystal Bennett and John and Katie Bennett;  and one niece Brett and Jason Spore. Sandy and Ron have hosted nine foreign exchange students over the years, Olena (Ukraine), Anel (Kazakhstan), Kamilla (Kyrgystan), Natalia (Russia), Bruno (Brazil) Julie (Brazil), Laura (Uzbekistan), Ira (Ukraine) and Louise or Lulu (Germany). Each student contributed to the richness of their lives. Anel has returned to the United States and is now in West Virginia with her husband Andrew Tessman. God has given Sandy and Ron not only a “daughter” in Anel but also a wonderful “son-in-law” and two beautiful grandchildren Jordan and Geneva.

Preceding Sandy in death were her parents and husband.
